Ingredients:
For the Bibimbap base:
- 2 cups of cooked short-grain rice

- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
Optional toppings:
- 2 fried eggs, sunny-side-up
- 1/2 cup of fernbrake (gosari), soaked and blanched
- Salt and vegetable oil to taste.
Instructions:
Prepare the Bibimbap Base:
- Mix cooked rice with soy sauce, sesame oil, and seeds.
Cook the Meat:
- Heat oil in skillet and add beef, chicken, or tofu with minced garlic. Cook until browned and cooked (meat) or lightly browned (tofu). Remove from heat.
Blanch and Sauté the Vegetables:
- Blanch the spinach and bean sprouts for 1-2 minutes each, then rinse under cold water. Be sure to squeeze out excess water.
- Add the carrots and zucchini to the oiled pan and cook until soft, 2 to 3 minutes each.
Prepare the Bibimbap Sauce:
- Make the sauce to mix gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.
Assemble the Bibimbap:
- Divide the seasoned rice into individual bowls. Then add cooked meat/tofu, boiled vegetables, sautéed mushrooms, carrots, and zucchini on top of the rice to make a colorful dish.
- Add spinach, bean sprouts and optional toppings, pour Bibimbap sauce.
